I have had these pics for about three years now, and I have tried to get them submitted to the Vault twice. No one there is interested in them so I am posting them. My understanding is that these were taken with a Polaroid Instamatic from right in front of the stage. These are scans of the originals, but the quality is still pretty good. These pics are a perfect look at the Band in 1975, and I love them.

Nice pics!! It looks like they are just playing with their stage amps. No towers or monitors that I can see but I guess they could be off to the side. Big change from 74 for sure though. Thanks.

Great pics, Skobud, thanks for posting them here! And is that actual choreography going on in the second pic from the bottom? ;-)

WOW! Thank you for posting these pics. Like and AUD to a SBD, the graininess (sp?) adds depth to the character of these photos.

Hey D! If you have any more of the crowd, esp what would represent stage left, few rows back (ie, in front of Phil, roughly), post them if it's easily done and we can all try to find me! I was big, had lots of hair, ugly, and thinner...not that this helps.

Yes but if we did have the good fortune of finding a pic of you at this show, we would all run the risk of our computers freezing up while looking at it!

Thanks SD! That last one is the one I have searched thru in vain a few times! I should be right about where the mic is next to Keith...we were within five bodies of the stage for the last three songs or so, after having started out near the center crowd mixing booth doohickey...strangely, I found out yrs later my brother was at the show too (he was living in Alaska at the time, we only saw each other every yr or so, and never mentioned the show til later!).

It's funny--at the time I felt so FAR from 68-70, feeling I had "missed" an important time (except the draft part of it), but now it seems so much "closer" eh? Age does that...Jerry and all the rest look so much younger now, than they did "then" if you follow...

Thanks too Dali! Grace looked pretty good!

Garcia's guitar?? Not sure if I have ever seen that make and model. The sound is instantly wonderously distorted loud and sharp. What is the history of this guitar? Never seen it before... Also, love the stickers on the bass drum. Another never seen pic... cool...

That Travis Bean is actually my favorite guitar of the many Jerry used throughout his career....

I'm with you on that about the Travis Bean. Maybe not my favorite, but it had such a sweet, unique tone to it, signature 76 sound. I never understood why he put it down so quickly and never used it again (I've heard it said that he last used it in October of 77?). The rhythm player in a local GD tribute here in St. Louis (Jake's Leg) uses a Travis Bean, and I love it! He's probably the only person besides Jerry I've ever seen use one.

Great pics, btw! Thanks for sharing!

I always wondered why he put down the Travis Bean too. My theory is, it's an all-metal guitar, and must of dealt out some awesome shocks...

That guitar is a Travis Bean that Garcia used for a short time.
